Program Manager

Job Description:

The Program Manager is responsible for the priorities, requirements and program definition for In-Q-Tel programs/projects. The Program Manager receives a statement of requirements for each program and is responsible for organizing the project, resolving resource and other conflicts, and bringing the project to a successful conclusion. The incumbent will work with analysts, contractors, and other outside sources in managing all programs. Effective program management requires close interaction and coordination with customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements, define and review deliverables, develop program strategies and manage the entire project lifecycle.
  • Work with integrated program and program schedules, technical staff and customers to ensure that the project remains current and reflects the dynamic needs of the business.
  • Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluate criteria for obtaining results.
  • Work with program and program priorities, communicate these priorities with management and customers.
  • Develop relationships with customers and provide them with technical and analytical information.
  • Work with multiple other organizations to create and oversee high-level program schedules that incorporate all aspects of product development.
  • Maintain product development program plans by working with the customer and technical team to identify tasks and interdependencies, allocate resources, and establish key milestones.
  • Coordinate contract and internal program resources.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • 2-5 years experience in IT program and/or project management, with some portion of that time involving customer management.
  • Experience working with one or more of the following: Internet applications, database or telephony applications.
  • Experience dealing with information security, knowledge generation and distributed architectures is highly desired.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a non-traditional, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
